DuPont launches new 3D anti-counterfeiting film

by

DuPont Advanced Printing (DuPont) has launched a new anti-counterfeiting film that it says is “revolutionary” in terms of enhanced security for packaging applications.

New DuPont Izon 3D security film utilises the company’s imaging technology to integrate anti-counterfeiting features directly onto product packaging or labelling.

“Embossed holographic films are typically used to apply anti-counterfeiting features on packaging. However, embossed holographic films are widespread and it is easy for counterfeiters to copy,” explained Peter Waker, Global Marketing Manager for Anti-Counterfeiting Products, DuPont Advanced Printing.

“Izon® 3D security film utilises a patented DuPont imaging process to create a look that is clearly differentiated and truly 3D.”

Key benefits of the new Izon 3D film include unique side dot validation; a clearly recognisable holographic red ‘lock’ image embedded to enhance quick authentication; a disappearing hologram when viewing “off-angle”; plus additional options for field verification and reading print.
