Food plastics range expanded

Ensinger has revealed TECAMID 6 ID blue, a further part of its food plastics range.

The new product comes with a detectable filler which identifies foreign bodies during the manufacturing process, and its blue colour is said to offer easy optical detection of said foreign bodies.

It is the third product in Ensinger’s range of ID materials, with the others being TECAPEEK ID blue and TECAFORM AH ID.

The company says all three of these ID products conform to the requirements of the food industry and are tested to EU Regulation no. 10/2011. The materials also reportedly fulfil FDA requirements.

TECAMID is also said to offer varied fields of application such as dairy technology, meat processing and bakery technology, as well as saving energy and money thanks to its lighter weight.
