Innovia films to be used in new partnership project with Rolling Optics

High-tech anticounterfeiting technologies will be used in Innovia Films’ BOPP films as a result of a new partnership.

The security technologies, developed by Stockholm-based Rolling Optics, include 3D micro-optical designs and 3D effects for the protection of products and brands against counterfeiting.

These will now be applied to Innovia Films’ Rayoface Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films to offer the premium goods industries a proven secure technology that will provide brand security and protection.

“Micro-optics is considered to be among the most innovative and disruptive technologies within the security sector,” explained Mark Robertshaw, CEO, Innovia Group. “Our collaboration with Rolling Optics gives us the opportunity to offer leading edge technologies that deliver the next generation of security into a range of growing and attractive market sectors.

Working closely together, the partnership will focus on maximising global opportunities utilising Rolling Optics’ expertise combined with Innovia’s worldwide production, sales and distribution channels.
