Lincolnshire-based chemicals company expands thanks to sales growth

Innovo Chemicals Limited has recently completed the relocation of its calcium oxide and hydroxide blending and sacheting plant to a purpose-built extension of the existing bagging plant at its Melton Ross facility.

The company states the move will resolve a number of issues that have arisen due to significant sales growth in the past 12 months.

Innovo’s Innovox calcium oxides are used as desiccants in the rubber, plastics and coating industries and its Innovox OH calcium hydroxide is used as a curing agent in fluoroelastomers.

The new building will provide vastly increased storage for raw material and finished products and the plant is now in close proximity to new classification equipment, which will provide a necessary increase in raw material capacity. The greater eaves height of the new building has also allowed the installation of a mechanical handling system for the emptying of bulk bags.

Innovo Chemicals Director, Daryl Birden told BP&R: “This relocation is to allow further expansion of the business and is a reflection of the commitment that the owner, Singleton Birch Ltd, has made to this subsidiary.  We have also invested in removing bottlenecks from the process and expect to add further capacity to meet growing customer demands”
