Masterbatch made available in materials database

Clariant’s colour masterbatch range is now available in UL’s Prospector materials search engine. Over 100 Clariant products are now easily available to search for in one of the largest and most used sources for materials in the plastics industry.

Being part of this database shows that Clariant’s products are certified by UL; who are regarded widely as experts in plastics. Prospector is an easy way for professionals and manufactures to search for the product that they want and find the right material for purpose.

Prospector (www.ulprospector.com) is one of the biggest online search engines for different plastics. 86,000 different plastics and other materials are on the database; each with comprehensive data sheets for each product. Searching for suitable product through properties and a smart ranking system of how appropriate a plastic is for its requirements.

Clariant says being part of the database means that it is accessible to companies and can provide solutions for approximately 20 percent of products listed in the search engine. The masterbatch products from Clariant are listed under the trademarked names: Remafin and Renol.

Being a part of the database shows that Clariant complies with standards of LU and globally established standards and tests for flammability, electric shock and others.
