Materials distributor acquires flexible and rigid plastics supplier

Plastribution, a UK distributor of plastics raw materials, has recently acquired Cheshire-based flexible and rigid plastics supplier, Armstrong Bradley, for an undisclosed sum.

Plastribution says the acquisition has been made to complement its films distribution business, Plasfilms, and that all key staff at Armstrong Bradley are being retained.

Alan Moules, Plasfilms’ Commercial Director said: “We are excited at the prospects for growth that the acquisition of Armstrong Bradley will provide. The strategic alignment of both businesses will provide better opportunities to exploit sales throughout the UK films, labels and flexible packaging sectors.”

Cambridgeshire-based Plasfilms’ current product portfolio includes: Shrink Films, BOPP, CPP, PET films and SANZIP Reclosable Zippers, held and distributed from its UK warehouse.

In the short term, Plasfilms says the acquisition of Armstrong Bradley will provide new suppliers, an increase in overall capability, as well as an upscale in customer numbers.

“For the foreseeable future both Plasfilms and Armstrong Bradley will operate in parallel, enabling the best route to market, whilst delivering a focused customer service,” Moules added.
