Rubber Consultants extend RAPRA’s capabilities

RAPRA has signed an agreement with Rubber Consultants, a division of UK-based Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC), which it says wil strengthen its network of research and development support to the plastic and rubber industries.

Both organisations cite the exploitation of technology for the creation of new products, applications or services as a key challenge, with an interest in bridging the gap between research and commercialisation.

RAPRA says Rubber Consultants’ position, supported by its research centre and extensive laboratory facilities, brings new opportunities for both parties.

“Our current support model is designed to be fit for purpose in a world where there is a huge amount of choice. Being independent and impartial, we are proud to have Rubber Consultants and the other preferred providers on board, to reduce risks and make life easier for companies engaged in R&D,” said Steve Shaw, RAPRA Executive Director.

Stuart Cook, TARRC’s Director of Research and Head of Rubber Consultants, added: “The level of expertise and extensive range of facilities that are available to Rubber Consultants will add a new dimension to the RAPRA network of Preferred Providers – a network that Rubber Consultants is very pleased and proud to be part of.”
