Further Update: Arrests made in Biesterfeld theft case

FURTHER UPDATE:

Biesterfeld Petroplas has announced that over the past week there has been a  significant recovery of the stolen material which has lead to two arrests by Cheshire Police.  

However, there is still a quantity unaccounted for, and the search continues.  

Anyone with information is urged to call Cheshire Police by dialling '101' and quoting incident number 104 of 24th February. Information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.


Biesterfeld Petroplas has received a number of leads in relation to the Marlex polymer stolen from its warehouse, which has led to the recovery of some material.

In a statement, the company said: “Biesterfeld Petroplas would like to thank our customers and the plastics industry in general for the fantastic response to our appeal.

“A large number of leads have come in which have directly led to material being recovered. However, there is still a quantity unaccounted for and an active police enquiry is continuing.”
