Perspex
The window display featuring the perspex shapes in London's Marble Arch
A restaurant in London’s Marble Arch is hoping to catch the eye of prospective diners by with a fluorescent plastic window display.
Brasserie Centrale is the signature onsite restaurant at the London Marriott Hotel in Marble Arch. Specialising in creative cuisine, the restaurant took on a simple but unusual one-off window display to catch the eye of passers-by.
Bevan Howard, a boutique graphic design and illustration studio in London’s Clerkenwell, proposed the idea of suspending large Perspex acrylic picture frames in each window, which would add a three dimensional effect to the portrayal of a selection of lifetstyle items. These items included a cake stand, a chandelier and an armchair.
Clear latex inkjet printed vinyl stickers were applied to 3mm Perspex clear and suspended within the frames. The frames were then hung on a 1.5mm cable display system. Accompanying each Perspex frame are additional printed vinyl images applied directly to the windows.
