Chinaplas 2014: “Huge business development potential for UK firms,” says BPF

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) is heading a group of eleven UK exhibitors at Chinaplas 2014 that are hoping to make the most of the business opportunities offered by rapidly growing markets in the country.

Statistically, the majority of visitors come from the packaging industry, IT & telecommunication, raw materials and chemicals and machinery manufacturers.

“The BPF was one of the first UK industrial organisations to get a foothold in China, back in 1982. Today there is huge business development potential for UK firms,” said Philip Law, Director General Designate of the BPF. “This year Chinaplas is oversubscribed, which is a sign that it is so important to be at the show.”

The exhibition has been steadily growing throughout the years and it now attracts a huge 114,103 visitors from 138 countries and nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 36 countries. The show size has also grown significantly; with 11 halls back in 2010 and now boasting 17 halls and eight temporary halls.

Joining the BPF are Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd, Boston Munchy Ltd, Croda Europe Ltd, MSA Engineering Systems Ltd, Meech International, Nextool (UK) Ltd, Rapidflame Ltd, The Aerogen Company Ltd, Zotefoams. The British exhibitors are showcasing their products and services in hall W1.
