Clariant’s colour trends for 2016 pinpoints new age thinking

Clariant has launched the 10th edition of its annual colour-forecasting guide for the plastics industry, one that sees it focus on modern thinking for its 2016 palette.

‘ColorForward’ is produced to help plastic product designers and marketing professionals make more informed colour choices. Each edition presents four global societal trends that can be expected to influence consumers' behaviour.

The 2016 edition of the guide focuses on innovation, exhibitionism, technology and ‘new’ feminism to inspire its latest colour trends.

“Through my involvement with ColorForward I have really come to appreciate how colour moves people, informs their view of the world around them, and can even influence their purchasing decisions,” said Matthias Brommer, Global Head of Marketing, Clariant Business Unit Masterbatches.

“The fact that ColorForward has been around for 10 years, and continues to attract more and more interest over time, reaffirms our belief that we have created something useful for the marketing and designer community.”
