Student design in the spotlight ahead of 2015 rotomoulding event

by

A student design competition focusing on the many advantages of rotational moulding has been launched ahead of an international event in September next year.

As part of the ARMO 2015 Rotational Moulding Conference, taking place from 13th – 15th September 2015 in Nottingham, UK, the British Plastics Federation has devised a design competition open to all UK and international students with financial prizes and work placements on offer for the winners.

The design challenge is to create a product that demonstrates an appreciation of the advantages of the rotomoulding process and is split into three separate categories, namely ‘Our Green Environment’, ‘Illumination’ and ‘At Leisure’. Judging for the competition will be based on research, commerciality, process consideration, execution, design thinking, relevance to the theme and originality.

Each category winner will receive a prize of £750 and the overall winner will also be awarded £1,000 and a six-month work placement.

All entries for the competition must be received by 3rd April 2015, with the winning entries for all categories announced on 22nd May 2015.
