PLASgran has invested in a new technical centre as part of its ongoing investment programme
Cambridgeshire-based plastics recycling specialist, PLASgran, is continuing its investment programme with the opening of a new Technical Development Centre.
The facility, which will be housed next to its compounding facilities, will bring the technical and operational teams together under one roof for the first time.
It will house the company’s existing testing and analytical equipment, including a new 22T BOY injection moulding machine, universal flexural and tensile testing machine, moisture analyser and new pilot film blowing line.
Managing Director, Mark Roberts, said: “We are committed to continuing the long-term programme of investment in the business which is designed to allow us to meet even the most complex of technical challenges and to further bolster our capability to deliver the very best in plastics recycling service and supply. This latest enhancement to our facilities is just another point along our route to becoming the foremost plastics recycler in the country.”
The business, which has been trading since 1999, significantly expanded its processing capacity and capability earlier in the year, with a £1.7 million investment in a new INTAREMA 2018 TVEplus RegrindPro compounding line, and more recently announced the delivery of a new BOY22A laboratory moulding machine to enhance it’s quality and technical development capability.
