International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is an annual campaign which takes place on June 23rd. It is organised by the Women's Engineering Society.
It started in 2014 as a national campaign for the UK, before becoming an international campaign in 2017. Its aims are to increase profile for women working across all specialisms in engineering, as well as to encourage uptake of education and careers in engineering for young women.
